I suppose in your pocket is better than lost to the void, though not by much.

Those keys will take several days (not to mention several hundred dollars) to replace. I actually would...appreciate having them returned.

Okay, okay, you don't have to make a big federal case out of it. I took them by accident.

If I thought you'd taken them intentionally, I wouldn't have been foolish enough to ask for them back. I would simply like to know whether I'm going to have to waste another half hour contacting both dealerships.

...You have a point. At any rate, the man is clearly not sane. Aside from the obvious, he believes himself to be the center of the universe in a very literal fashion. He seems to think his world is the product of his own imagination. It appears to be how he justifies his crimes to himself.
