I'm still deciding on which parties to entrust with the analysis of the lotions. One has already been delivered for the...magical portion, but none for the chemical analysis. I had planned on two each.

Is there anything about this trial that isn't? The restrictions on evidence gathering and other aspects of an investigation aren't present in this case. When they are present they serve the purpose of protecting evidence from outside influence, which isn't a concern with you.

Of course, if you'd rather not accept, I'll choose them myself.

Hey, come on! Am I one to look a gift horse in the mouth? I was... surprised, that's all. I usually have to fight tooth and nail just to present my case. Or hadn't you noticed?

They do their jobs, just as you do yours. Making things easy for you isn't in their job descriptions. But in this case, I think working together will be a more effective means of uncovering the truth.

Right. I just wish everyone saw it that way. More often than not, the scales are already tipped in the prosecution's favor before the trial even starts.

That is the nature of a trial. People are generally already eager for someone to blame, so a bias can be present from the beginning. But then, no one claimed the path to the truth was easy.

Of course. But that's why defense attorneys and prosecutors exist.

I have samples of the lotion to give them, but I'm looking to obtain some of the bottles that were actually handled on worlds where the transformations took place. And Philomel is offering to help compile the results, so she will need copies of anything we're given.

Not yet. I would prefer to conduct the interrogations in person, so I have to make the time to visit their worlds.
