You probably do. Thats the truly insidious side of it. We take abuse after abuse and we stay for the things we can't get anyway else. The people we wouldn't have otherwise, the ones we love and care for. It takes advantage of our weakness and we can only accept that we're getting them in return.

We've been given a great gift. That it could be taken away at any time only makes it more precious. All we can do is make the most of it and not squander the community's good will.
