[OOC: Musical Virus Planning Post--Attn Chicago gang! ]

We've got a little over a week so I thought I'd get the ball rolling on some plotting! If you guys were planning to rewatch the movie in preparation we might not be able to plot too much yet, but I'll start us off with some reference materials and open it up to discussions, ja?

Here's the songs that apply to one or more of our characters (which are...basically all the songs except for Amos' and the ending credits). We can decide if we want to act out any and how we want to do so. (RLs, video post, voice post, etc.)

Razzle Dazzle - Billy Flynn
Class - Matron "Mama" Morton and Velma Kelly, cut from the film but added on the DVD
Nowadays - Roxie Hart
Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag - Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly

And heeeeere's the full movie script. Aside from the songs I think most of the relevant scenes in the movie are between one or more of our characters so we may have to pick and choose pretty heavily. ^_^;;;

Which scenes are you guys wanting to do? For Billy's parts I'm most eager to do his songs (Edgey in his skivvies whee), the scene where he's manipulating Amos over the money, the court scene (obviously, lol), and the scene where he tells Roxie off for not listening and gets dumped/dumps her. Maybe the scene where he blows Velma off for Roxie as well?

Guess we should also decide if they'll be using their names or the characters' names. ...Also, will Eros be a girl for this virus? XD

M-man, I want to do most of these XD I was thinking "All That Jazz," "Cell Block Tango," "We Both Reached For the Gun," "Razzle Dazzle," and "Hot Honey Rag" could be done on the main community in video posts due to the nature of the songs (most of them requiring an audience). That might be too many for the community though... I dunno. XD

We can totally RL some of the songs/scenes too, particularly the ones that only involve two characters (like "I Can't Do This Alone" for Velma and Roxie).

As for names, I think it'd be cute if they kept their own names, personally... although some of them might not fit in the songs (Eros and Roxie have the same amount of syllables, though... as do Edgey and Billy and Ty Lee and Mama/Morton. Akako and Velma don't, so that might be a problem adfasdf I dunno).

SORRY FOR THREAD JACKING, BUT

The scenes requiring an audience will be provided for by Apollo, as they are NPCs and very often have choral parts and are very involved (especially "We Both Reached For The Gun"). That will probably help with there being less clutter on the main community. :)

If you have a look at the post I made (http://community.livejournal.com/triple_d_ooc/891797.html) on the OOC community, I explained the concepts. Of course, you could totally do one or two of the scenes for the main comm, if you like! :D

Now that Claire's cleared things up, probably RLs and maybe a few video posts in their journals (like the scenes/songs with just two people could go in one person's journal or the other) and then we could pick one or two of the most major songs to put on the comm? The main problem is that none of the songs really have all of us in them, so maybe we can do something like, the one with Mama and Velma (Class) then the one with Roxie and Billy (Razzle-Dazzle) as video posts on the main comm so everyone gets some stage time, heh, then the rest on the journals in RLs and video or voice posts, or even journal entries?

I kinda want them to keep their names too. XD I have this image in my mind of them replacing 'Billy' with 'Edgey' in his songs and him getting really irate and trying to tell them off while still dancing and singing. XD I don't know about the ones that don't fit though, hmm... I suppose the line could be stretched or shrunk when singing to make it fit? Not that we're going to 'hear' it anyway so maybe it doesn't matter too much. XD

L-lol, I could so totally see him doing that too XD Akako's name might be difficult since the syllables are off, but I"m sure I could come up with something...

Sounds like a plan, then! I'll poke Norry and Ty Lee and see if they want to check this out and add their thoughts. ^_^;;

Heh, I need to get him all 'grrr' more often, that'll be one way to do it.
