55: [Private, hackable] Another Mistake

It's hardly surprising. In all likelihood there's no truth to it. It shouldn't have this effect...

It shouldn't have an effect. I have no rights to it, of that I'm fully aware. No rights, and no desire for...

...This is simply another mistake to correct. Nothing more.

Are you okay, sir?

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-10 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm so sorry. I don't even know I saw it, I merely clicked some things out of curiosity and had no idea.....

I'm rambling, aren't I?

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-11 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
Ah--I'm sorry.

They say that when inside frail glass eggs that are painted to look like jewels, there's always something underneath. Paint the cracks well, and you can sell them like new, better yet, get ceramic glue and paint over in a high retrograde paint.

I suggest you buy some paint, Edgeworth. Your cracks are showing.

I already know all I need to, Miles. The damage is done.

I've made a living reading emotions and words, don't think that even you can hide behind them.

[ooc; S-scarily enough, Rufus just said the same exact think that Edgeworth said to Hermione to Shinji]

... I'm going to be in town, can you spare twenty minutes?

Good evening, Miles.

Imposing on someone's privacy is hard thing to overlook.

[identity profile] drcuddles.livejournal.com 2008-09-11 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it isn't and I'm not talking about the entry, am I? Come on, you sound stressed.

[identity profile] drcuddles.livejournal.com 2008-09-11 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish House had your work ethic, but then again, if he had your work ethic- you'd be House.

Sorry to bother you, Prosecutor.

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-15 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
It does seem that way. However, everyone needs their privacy, whether it's in person or over the Internet. That's unfair to everyone involved.

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure. If we haven't then I'm Hermione Granger. It's a pleasure to meet you, sir.

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-16 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. I'm currently attending Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. If you can believe that such a school exists.

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-17 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
You're right, but one would be surprised. Much of the early forms of witchcraft aren't nearly as sophisticated as now. Although they most certainly did not dance naked or make pacts with the devil.

Things fabricated by people who didn't understand. Innocent people dead because of foolish beliefs. It's hard to understand humans sometimes.

Yes. Charms and Transfiguration and Potions are the main subjects, but there are plently of electives. Are you employed anywhere?

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-19 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
...I agree.

Ah, somewhat. Personally, I enjoy Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies and Arithmacy. I'm a Muggle-born myself, but it's fascinating to see how the wizarding world perceives those who live without magic.

A prosecutor. I've met good people on the community who work in law.

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-19 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
In a way. It's true that only some people can use magic, but most of the time money isn't an option. It's genetics instead. Those who have parents or other ancestors who use magic can, however, that's not always the case. There are those from magical families who can't use it and there are people with no magic in their families at all that can, like me. No one has figured out why yet.

True. There seem to be less of them joining lately so at least it's a respite. Would you know a Detective Gumshoe or a Phoenix Wright?

((OOC: D'aw, Edgeworth. ;_;))

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-21 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
The wizarding world doesn't poke its nose too much into why they have magic. For most, it's simply the way things are. If only someone would do the research....

Hmm, you're right. Maybe it's a break like the viruses. Your cases must have been exciting to watch.

((OOC: When he's not being a jerk. You don't have to apologize! Life happens.))

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-21 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
That would be such a big undertaking that would last years--but it would be valuable. It would have to wait until after school though.

I imagine so. Mr. Wright is a funny man.

((OOC: [hugs back] It was a big post. We will keep this thread going with perseverance!))

[identity profile] gryff-booklover.livejournal.com 2008-09-22 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
So much of the problem would be funding. Professor McGonagall may help on that end....

It literally teaches what life for Muggles is like. Most wizards don't know anything about telephones or cars or television. Most of them take their magic for granted.

Then you don't think of him as a good attorney?

((OOC: It's a thought provoking topic. [holds] You can do it!))
