[OOC: On Edgeworth, and why he doesn't like you]
I debated on putting this up, as I hate to sound like I'm trying to explain away my character's flaws (Edgeworth's an asshole; he knows it, I know it, and I make no excuses for him XD), but the issue has come up enough times that I thought it would probably be best to go ahead and put this out there.
Edgeworth isn't a forgiving person. He takes offense easily, and holds a grudge as though the offender kicked his dog and called his father a pussy. If a character makes him mad, he'll let them know as harshly as possible, and might not give them a chance to correct their slight. Obviously he's not always in the right--a lot of the time he isn't, or he's seeing an issue in black and white when really there's a hell of a lot of grey in between--but when he thinks he's right, telling him otherwise can be like talking to a particularly snarky brick wall.
Now I'm not saying your characters should tiptoe around him. On the contrary, I love his fights almost as much as he does. Having him on either end of an argument is a blast, as is getting him flustered or throwing him off-guard. So if your character wants to antagonize him, be my guest! Just please keep in mind that IC actions will have IC consequences. Edgeworth thrives on his pride; he's utterly self-righteous when convinced he's right, and he hates being proved wrong. If there is a falling out, everything won't be sunshine and roses next week, next month, possibly not even next year.
RP is happy pretendy fun-tiems, but I try to play Edgeworth as realistically as I can, and I won't force him into a reaction that isn't natural for his character. He's an often unreasonable ass with an easily bruised ego and too much pride; a fight isn't something he'll just forget or move on from. Reconciliation isn't likely to happen unless an apology is made and he can get over himself to accept it, or if he can realize that he was in the wrong, and swallow his pride enough to make some move towards reestablishing a relationship. Neither is likely to happen quickly or without a struggle, and when it comes to what he sees as personal slights, his trust or respect, once lost, is also really hard to regain (trust and abandonment issues ftw \o/). Attempts to smooth things over may be met by reactions ranging from the silent treatment to a full-on bitchfight every time they interact.
In conclusion, Edgeworth is an ass. Some things he can't reconcile, some things he won't ever want to, and some relationships he might not be able to mend once they're broken. A lot of relationships he won't deserve to mend, and if he ever decides he wants to it might be up to your character to choose whether to accept him again even though he's unable to bring himself to apologize. Whatever the case, reconciliation won't happen before he's ready for it. If it never happens, well... they'll always haveParis bitchfights? ^_^;;;
Also, as you guys have probably noticed, I'm still failing on tags. :Db Idgie's been a bit sick this week so a lot of time has been spent cuddling her and spoiling her and such. I make no apologies for that, but I do apologize for hardly tagging at all today, and I promise if I don't get a lot done this week I'll be devoting a good chunk of my weekend to tagging and probably doing more character analysis or private RLs or things of that sort.

Ema fangirls over Edgey anyway! And I don't really expect her to be saying anything with the intention to upset him any time soon... xD;;
Finished Case 4! Getting around to Case 5 now so I can see the fangirling first-hand.

Edgey's a narcissist so he appreciates her fangirling. :Db And unfortunately, upsetting him doesn't necessarily have to be the intention for him to get self-righteously offended. ._. BUT she falls under the 'young girl' category, so she's probably okay unless she says something to really piss him off. ♥
HOW FREAKING AWESOME WAS CASE FOUR?!

Ten on the other hand.... WE SHALL SEE. :D

...Ten worries me on occasion. ._. But here's hoping things will stay pleasant between them!
