I still fail to see the point in these things. And yet I continue to participate in them.
The cast was finally removed on Friday. I've followed the doctor's recommended stationary exercises throughout the healing process, yet some atrophy was inevitable. The marked difference is...odd. There will be even further visits to the hospital as they determine a physical therapy regimen for me.

- I respect Miles Edgeworth.
- Miles Edgeworth is a great prosecutor.
- Miles Edgeworth likes to work. A lot.
- I want to work another trial with Miles Edgeworth.
- Miles Edgeworth can make even the nicest compliment sound like scathing criticism.
- Someday Miles Edgeworth will realize what a great man he is.
- Miles Edgeworth reminds me of what it means to fight for the truth.
- Without Miles Edgeworth, it will be a sad day.
- Right now, I bet Miles Edgeworth is thinking about how great it feels to have that cast off.
- Miles Edgeworth makes me want to become a better defense attorney.
- If I could spend the day with Miles Edgeworth, I'd take him to lunch.
- Miles Edgeworth is made of... skin and organs?
- If I could be Miles Edgeworth for a day, I'd rest.
- Miles Edgeworth's alter-ego is the Steel Samurai. Or he'd like for it to be.
- I want to give Miles Edgeworth a pat on the back.
[Locked to Wright]
- Miles Edgeworth can make even the nicest compliment sound like scathing criticism.
You're too kind, Wright.
- Right now, I bet Miles Edgeworth is thinking about how great it feels to have that cast off.
You know me too well.
- Miles Edgeworth's alter-ego is the Steel Samurai. Or he'd like for it to be.
Wright, I enjoy the program; I do not model my life around it.
- If I could be Miles Edgeworth for a day, I'd rest.
Do you not get enough of that as Phoenix Wright?
- Miles Edgeworth is made of... skin and organs?
You're not sure?
- I respect Miles Edgeworth.
- Miles Edgeworth is a great prosecutor.
Though I believe I've made it plain before...these sentiments are mutual.
- Someday Miles Edgeworth will realize what a great man he is.
Someday...perhaps you'll see me as I am.
- Miles Edgeworth reminds me of what it means to fight for the truth.
Odd. I might never have learned the lesson if...you hadn't demonstrated it to me.
- Miles Edgeworth makes me want to become a better defense attorney.
There are...far better reasons and motivations for wanting to improve yourself.
- If I could spend the day with Miles Edgeworth, I'd take him to lunch.
Oh? Would it involve a 'restaurant' with a walk-up window?
[Locked to Edgeworth]
I try.
Wright, I enjoy the program; I do not model my life around it.
I know, I know, I'm just messing around. How are you supposed to answer a question like that?
Do you not get enough of that as Phoenix Wright?
Ha ha. Funny. The intention is for you to rest.
You're not sure?
Again: how are you supposed to answer a question like that?
Though I believe I've made it plain before...these sentiments are mutual.
You have. ...Thank you.
Someday...perhaps you'll see me as I am.
I stand by my response.
Odd. I might never have learned the lesson if...you hadn't demonstrated it to me.
I don't think I fully realized it until you brought it to my attention. I was fighting to save people I believed in; finding the truth was derivative until you showed me how important it was.
There are...far better reasons and motivations for wanting to improve yourself.
Don't get too full of yourself, Edgeworth. I never said you were the only reason.
Oh? Would it involve a 'restaurant' with a walk-up window?
What kind of man do you take me for? It'd have a drive-thru at the very least.
[Locked to Wright]
I wouldn't be the one resting, would I? Besides which, out of all the things you might enjoy or take advantage of in my position, you would still spend the day doggedly attempting to help me?
I stand by my response.
...As I expected.
I don't think I fully realized it until you brought it to my attention. I was fighting to save people I believed in; finding the truth was derivative until you showed me how important it was.
It would seem we...owe each other for that particular lesson.
Don't get too full of yourself, Edgeworth. I never said you were the only reason.
And what are your other reasons?
What kind of man do you take me for? It'd have a drive-thru at the very least.
Which I would be driving us through.
[Locked to Edgeworth]
I don't know. I guess it might be interesting to see what it's like on the other end of the legal spectrum. What's wrong with wanting to help you, though?
It would seem we...owe each other for that particular lesson.
It certainly seems that way, doesn't it?
And what are your other reasons?
I want to do my part to improve the corruption running rampant in the justice system, not to mention become a better attorney for my clients and myself in general.
Which I would be driving us through.
Naturally.
[Locked to Wright]
The fact that it's at the expense of the benefits you might have received instead.
It certainly seems that way, doesn't it?
...It does.
I want to do my part to improve the corruption running rampant in the justice system, not to mention become a better attorney for my clients and myself in general.
Much more valid reasons for wishing to improve yourself. Reasons which I can readily empathize with.
Naturally.
This statement alone is enough to solidify my intentions to never allow you to take me out to lunch.
[Locked to Edgeworth]
I hadn't thought about it that way.
Much more valid reasons for wishing to improve yourself. Reasons which I can readily empathize with.
You're part of it, though. Seeing the work you do is inspiring.
This statement alone is enough to solidify my intentions to never allow you to take me out to lunch.
...come on, do you really think I'm that cheap? I'd pay for your gas, too.
[Locked to Wright]
Now you have. Does your answer change?
You're part of it, though. Seeing the work you do is inspiring.
I...do what needs to be done. Everyone is capable of doing the same; it shouldn't be an inspiration.
...come on, do you really think I'm that cheap? I'd pay for your gas, too.
How generous. You are aware I use only premium gasoline in my car?

And why do you require a physician? Are you alright?
no subject
The bone has finally mended, though. The physician's role now is merely to instruct me in the physical therapy needed to safely repair the atrophy that comes with such an extended period of immobility.
no subject
I'm glad to hear that though, that you're fine now.
no subject
I am, and I'm grateful as well. My right arm is my dominant one, so the past weeks have been difficult. Thankfully, my productivity should finally return to the usual levels.
no subject
How have you been lately? Aside from the broken arm.
no subject
As well as usual. My workload has lessened of late but I suspect it shall be picking up soon. And you?
no subject
... Not very well. I'm going to kill that Chen Meng Ji one day.

- Miles Edgeworth is a seemingly brilliant lawyer.
- Miles Edgeworth likes to listen to Classical music.
- I want to meet Miles Edgeworth.
- Miles Edgeworth can object.
- Someday Miles Edgeworth will become famous in his world.
- Miles Edgeworth reminds me of red wine.
- Without Miles Edgeworth, it will be a lawless world.
- Right now, I bet Miles Edgeworth is thinking about ...I haven't any idea, actually.
- Miles Edgeworth makes me want to learn a bit more about the modern legal system.
- If I could spend the day with Miles Edgeworth, I'd likely invite him for a drive along the California coast.
- Miles Edgeworth is made of stout determination.
- If I could be Miles Edgeworth for a day, I'd yell 'Objection!' a lot.
- Miles Edgeworth's alter-ego is a timid secretary.
- I want to give Miles Edgeworth music.
no subject
Curious? Surely a being as long-lived as yourself has encountered far more interesting types in your day.
- Miles Edgeworth is a seemingly brilliant lawyer.
Not only 'seemingly.'
- I want to meet Miles Edgeworth.
- Miles Edgeworth can object.
The order of these sentences is amusingly appropriate.
- Someday Miles Edgeworth will become famous in his world.
More famous?
Or perhaps, something other than infamous.- Miles Edgeworth reminds me of red wine.
There are certainly worse things to be associated with.
- Without Miles Edgeworth, it will be a lawless world.
Even with Miles Edgeworth corruption and human nature continue to try the boundaries of society's laws. However, I do what I can.
- Miles Edgeworth makes me want to learn a bit more about the modern legal system.
An excellent compulsion. I highly recommend the study of law; though I am, obviously, biased.
- If I could spend the day with Miles Edgeworth, I'd likely invite him for a drive along the California coast.
With surfboards in tow and stops at all the best beaches along the way, I'd assume.
- Miles Edgeworth is made of stout determination.
Ah, an acceptable answer. Wright and I were having some difficulty with this one. It's a strangely worded question.
- If I could be Miles Edgeworth for a day, I'd yell 'Objection!' a lot.
...I'd hope you would wait until you were in the courtroom.
- Miles Edgeworth's alter-ego is a timid secretary.
I believe that would be closer to the hackneyed 'evil twin' scenario favored by the most common of media. Though I suppose that would make me the 'evil twin.'
- I want to give Miles Edgeworth music.
Oh?
((OOC: Strike hackable. ♥))
no subject
Why do people think of themselves as being so uninteresting to immortals?
Not only 'seemingly.'
Oh, my apologies.
The order of these sentences is amusingly appropriate.
I didn't even notice! It is true, though~
More famous?
Or perhaps, something other than infamous.Perhaps the title of 'Demon Prosecutor' will someday strike not only fear but reverence into the hearts of others.
There are certainly worse things to be associated with.
I should think so.
Even with Miles Edgeworth corruption and human nature continue to try the boundaries of society's laws. However, I do what I can.
An admirable effort. Being the pillar of justice among the Greeks, I can relate.
An excellent compulsion. I highly recommend the study of law; though I am, obviously, biased.
Exceedingly biased. ♥
With surfboards in tow and stops at all the best beaches along the way, I'd assume.
Your assumption would be correct. What's a coastal drive without a bit of surfing~?
Ah, an acceptable answer. Wright and I were having some difficulty with this one. It's a strangely worded question.
It is, isn't it? I had a bit of a hard time with it, as well.
...I'd hope you would wait until you were in the courtroom.
One can only hope.
I believe that would be closer to the hackneyed 'evil twin' scenario favored by the most common of media. Though I suppose that would make me the 'evil twin.'
I suppose~
Oh?
Yes.
(T-they're interacting!! *3*)

Our lives are fleeting, and by definition can contain only so many experiences; can be only so complex. They seem to pale in comparison to your own. And with the number of people who've passed through your life, anything about me that you might find of interest has probably cropped up enough times to be mundane at this point.
I didn't even notice! It is true, though~
It is. I can object, if I so choose. The question is, would the objection be upheld?
Perhaps the title of 'Demon Prosecutor' will someday strike not only fear but reverence into the hearts of others.
I...care little what others think of the title. The ones who matter have already formed their opinions of me, independent of it and its connotations.
An admirable effort. Being the pillar of justice among the Greeks, I can relate.
The only pillar of justice among them? A lonely position.
Exceedingly biased. ♥
I make no apologies.
Your assumption would be correct. What's a coastal drive without a bit of surfing~?
Unfortunately, I do not surf.
Yes.
Music from the leader of the Muses? That's a gift that many would envy.
((OOC: YAY! :D Might not be able to reply until tomorrow, btw, might be going to bed soon. But I'm having so much fun with this conversation. :3))

There is still an attraction to the lives that end, an interest in that which a god could never hope for.
It is. I can object, if I so choose. The question is, would the objection be upheld?
No.
I...care little what others think of the title. The ones who matter have already formed their opinions of me, independent of it and its connotations.
Then there you have it~
The only pillar of justice among them? A lonely position.
'Tis, and quite the target for the less devout.
I make no apologies.
Nor do I.
Unfortunately, I do not surf.
That can be rectified.
Music from the leader of the Muses? That's a gift that many would envy.
Truly. We shall see if you deserve such a gift~
(Okay! Goodnight! And me, too. :3 :3 :3)
no subject
Something akin to the interest mortals might feel toward immortals, I suppose. Though...death isn't entirely unknown to your kind, is it? At least, judging by what I've seen in my time here it seems that at least some of your number have experience with it.
No.
I am not a man who's used to being overruled.
'Tis, and quite the target for the less devout.
A target for all, then? Lonely and potentially dangerous.
That can be rectified.
Riding the ocean on a thin piece of wood holds little appeal for me, I'm afraid. I'd prefer being in the waves to being on them.
Truly. We shall see if you deserve such a gift~
You're so sure I would accept the gift?
no subject
You would be correct. Death is not unknown to us, but it is impermanent.
I am not a man who's used to being overruled.
You will grow used to it.
A target for all, then? Lonely and potentially dangerous.
Exactly.
Riding the ocean on a thin piece of wood holds little appeal for me, I'm afraid. I'd prefer being in the waves to being on them.
Fair enough!
You're so sure I would accept the gift?
I am.
