51: Conclusion (Spoilers for Trials and Tribulations under the cut)

I left Paris only days ago, but the Très Bien has made me eager to return...if only to indulge in enough fine French delicacies to remove all memory of the swill they dared to call cuisine. A warning would have been greatly appreciated.

We have reached the dénouement...though some of us carry scars that will never heal, and others didn't see the end. Only now are we aware of the connections that ensnared us, ties forged from hate, trust, and pain. I've known for years that God does not exist, but now it seems that chance doesn't either. What are we left with?

The girls will move on - they're stronger than most of us can lay claim to. The master of the Kurain tradition is dead, her name cleared with her final act; Franziska fulfilled my expectations, including those I'd hoped she wouldn't; Armando was granted clarity, a double-edged blessing; and Iris was allowed the gift of retribution.

Her confession was...

It isn't the outcome anyone anticipated but...perhaps it was the best he could have asked for. In the midst of her deception, his trust, which I took for the most dangerous example of his naiveté, has been partially vindicated. If this is his closure...

He saved all of us. He's earned...whatever peace comes to him.



((OOC: Stupid fucking game, still getting me all weepy... Gah. Consider this the end of the T&T canon event, as far as Edgeworth's concerned. Backdated to late yesterday evening, after he returned home from their celebratory dinner. Edgeworth will slowly be coming back to the community, commenting here and there until he's closer to his previous level of activity.))
